Absolutely. One of the greatest advantages of a yacht wedding is that your ceremony and reception take place in one beautiful location. Exchange vows on the sky deck, then transition seamlessly into cocktails, dinner, and dancing without changing venues or arranging transportation.
Do you have a bridal stateroom?
Yes. m/y Sun Dream and m/y Caprice both feature a private bridal stateroom with a powder room, providing a comfortable space for the wedding party to prepare and freshen up before and during the celebration. Please ask your Charter Specialist about stateroom availability when selecting your yacht.
How does catering work for a yacht wedding?
Every wedding aboard Sun Dream Yacht Charters features gourmet cuisine prepared fresh onboard by our full-time culinary team. Menus are selected separately based on your guest count, style of service, and budget. Choose from elegant plated dinners, gourmet buffets, cocktail receptions, and more, with accommodations for dietary needs. Premium bar packages are also available. Because all food is prepared fresh onboard by our culinary team, outside food and beverages are not permitted.
Where do wedding guests board the yacht?
Most weddings depart from DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Fort Lauderdale – GalleryOne, conveniently located on East Sunrise Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale. Valet parking is available for your guests.
How far in advance should we book a yacht wedding?
We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for Saturday weddings and dates during South Florida's peak season from October through May. Many couples reserve their wedding 9 to 12 months in advance, although we occasionally have availability for shorter planning timelines. Contact us to discuss your preferred date.
Can we tour the yacht before booking?
Absolutely. We encourage couples to schedule a private tour to explore the yacht, view ceremony and reception spaces, and meet with one of our experienced Charter Specialists. Touring the yacht is a wonderful way to envision your wedding day and ask questions before making your decision.
Do you work with outside wedding vendors?
Yes. We welcome outside photographers, videographers, florists, DJs, musicians, and officiants. Your onboard wedding coordinator will work directly with your vendors to help ensure a smooth timeline and seamless celebration. If you're still looking for vendors, we're happy to recommend trusted professionals we've worked with throughout South Florida.
What happens if there is bad weather on our wedding day?
Your comfort and celebration always come first. Our yachts are designed to accommodate changing South Florida weather while maintaining the elegance of your event. If needed, you may choose to remain on the open sky deck, move to a covered outdoor area, or relocate to one of our beautiful climate-controlled interior decks. Our captain will also adjust the cruise route when appropriate, and our team will keep you informed throughout the celebration.
Do you serve areas outside of Fort Lauderdale?
Yes. While our fleet is based in Fort Lauderdale and cruises the beautiful Intracoastal Waterway, we welcome couples from throughout South Florida, including Boca Raton, Delray Beach, West Palm Beach, Hollywood, Miami, and Miami Beach.
